A SHORT STORY ABOUT TWO REALMS.
In 2018, I was posted to the NYSC orientation camp located in Wamakko, Sokoto State, Nigeria. That meant I had to take an 18-hour trip by road to get there from Delta State. I went shopping and got all I thought I needed to be a pretty human in the camp (white shorts, polos, sneakers and the likes… I even braided my hair. I was ready to shine). It took me almost 20 hours to get to Sokoto. I finally got to the camp but guess what? My name was not on the list of students from my school and to make it worse I forgot my University ID card. How would I explain to my dad that I had gotten every other thing but forgot the most important thing I needed to get into the camp. Thank God I had an uncle to intervene.
In another realm of life, this happens everyday. People stand before God at the end of their lives and say to Him…”oops I forgot my soul”.
They travel through life for as long as God will have them stay here, gain everything (Cars, Fame, Money… Just name it), but forget the most important thing… Their souls. Jesus said ‘What shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his soul’.
All these things are not bad in themselves. But without your soul, it is all vanity… Any life lived outside of Christ is vanity.
Jesus is the only mediator between God and man. He is your access to heaven. Don’t gain the world and forget Him. And unlike my camp experience in this realm, there is no intervention at the gates of heaven. There can be no repentance in that realm… Selah.
